Lisa Gade covers what’s new (and what isn’t) in Samsung’s 2021 folding phones, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3. The phones are $200 less than their predecessors, and will be available unlocked as well as from all major carriers (with some strong pre-order incentives). The Z Flip 3 has a significant redesign, with a larger outer display, a 120Hz folding ultra-thin glass 6.7” AMOLED inner display and a new look. The Z Fold 3 gets S Pen support and a stronger inner display. Both have 5G and run Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor.
