How to Remove Picture/Image Backgrounds and Make Them Transparent in Microsoft PowerPoint

It seems like I always need to remove picture backgrounds and make them transparent—for use in a presentation, a website or a printout. Microsoft PowerPoint offers two easy ways to do that from the Picture Format tab—no extra software required.
