Lisa Gade reviews the Lenovo IdeaCentre Mini 5i mini PC (aka NUC) with desktop processors and a fairly affordable price tag. Thanks to our sponsor, Blinkist. Go to https://www.blinkist.com/mobiletechreview to try it out for free! This small PC is about the same size as the Mac Mini, and it’s available with Windows 10 Pro and your choice of Intel Core i3 and i5 desktop processors, making it more powerful than the average Windows mini PC. It’s also easily upgradeable with a socketed CPU, 2 RAM slots, an M.2 SSD and 1TB 2.5” HDD bay. There are plenty of ports including USB-C, HDMI and DisplayPort 1.4. It has Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth and Ethernet. Pricing starts just under $500. Note this is a tiny desktop so you’ll need a monitor, keyboard and mouse. It’s intended for work and school from home and would also work well as a full-featured media center.
