Legrand Expands Data Center Capabilities in Oceania with Acquisition of Computer Room Solutions

Legrand, a global leader in electrical and digital infrastructure solutions, has announced the acquisition of Computer Room Solutions (CRS), a strategic move that reinforces its presence in the rapidly growing data center market, particularly across the Oceania region.

Based in Mascot, Sydney, CRS is a prominent provider of mission-critical infrastructure solutions tailored for high-density IT environments such as data centers. The company employs around 80 professionals and generates approximately €30 million in annual revenue. CRS is recognized for its expertise in white space infrastructure, offering advanced systems including containment solutions, mechanical walls, airflow management, and structural ceilings, all designed to meet the evolving needs of enterprise, cloud, and colocation data facilities.

This acquisition aligns with Legrand’s ongoing bolt-on growth strategy and complements its existing portfolio of white and gray space offerings. By integrating CRS’s capabilities, Legrand is better positioned to address a wider spectrum of data center requirements throughout Australia and nearby markets.

Legrand CEO Benoît Coquart commented on the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition will significantly strengthen our positions both in Oceania and in the structurally promising data center vertical, which already accounted for about 20% of the Group’s revenue in 2024.”

Expanded Expertise in Precision Cooling and Power Systems

CRS brings over 20 years of experience in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance IT infrastructure. The company’s service offerings include precision cooling, uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems, environmental and energy monitoring, access control, and fire suppression. These services are delivered through modular and scalable architectures, ideal for hybrid, edge, and hyperscale data center deployments.

CRS has earned a reputation for engineering excellence and reliable project execution, serving clients across key sectors such as finance, healthcare, education, government, and telecommunications. This acquisition not only broadens Legrand’s market reach in Oceania but also enhances its ability to deliver energy-efficient and sustainable infrastructure solutions to the global data center industry.

With the addition of CRS, Legrand continues to build on its strategy of targeted acquisitions, solidifying its leadership in the digital infrastructure space while expanding its footprint in high-growth regions.
