You might already use textboxes in Microsoft Excel—and they’re great for hovering over parts of a spreadsheet, using as callouts, and inserting whatever type of formatting you want. But did you know they can also auto-update based on text somewhere else in the worksheet? Yes, it’s true!

In this hands-on tutorial, I’ll show you how to insert a textbox and then set it up to pull text from another call in the worksheet. That means when the cell updates, so does your textbox. Like dynamic magic!
