MiTAC has expanded its channel strategy with a new distribution agreement with Redington, strengthening its presence in one of the world’s fastest-growing digital infrastructure markets. The partnership positions MiTAC to accelerate adoption of its AI, high-performance computing (HPC), cloud, and energy-efficient server platforms across India.
The solutions delivered will be supported by Redington’s extensive logistics capabilities and long-standing partner network spanning 40 countries in APAC and the Middle East.
The timing coincides with India’s rapidly intensifying investment in IT infrastructure, projected to reach $161.5 billion as enterprises embrace AI workloads, cloud migration, cybersecurity modernization, and high-speed networking.
Redington will act as MiTAC’s exclusive distributor in the country, a role that includes helping reintroduce the MiTAC brand following the integration of the Intel DSG and TYAN server portfolios. Both companies see growing demand for vertically integrated systems, high-density compute, and liquid-cooled architectures suitable for emerging AI and HPC clusters.
MiTAC will leverage Redington’s broad market reach, supply-chain efficiency, and enterprise relationships across sectors including financial services, e-commerce, cloud service providers, scientific research and government. For customers, the collaboration is expected to improve access to next-generation server platforms optimized for power efficiency and scalability, including systems designed for modern AI training, inferencing, and edge-to-core workloads.
Rick Hwang, President of MiTAC, said the combination of MiTAC’s engineering strengths and Redington’s distribution footprint will help Indian enterprises “scale smarter, perform stronger, and build the data centers that will power tomorrow’s digital economy.” Redington leaders describe the partnership as a strategic expansion of their infrastructure portfolio, enabling them to offer more advanced compute solutions in a market hungry for innovation and long-term digital resilience.
MiTAC Computing, with R&D and manufacturing operations across Taiwan, China, Vietnam, Europe and the U.S., intends to use the partnership to strengthen its position in India – one of its strategic global growth markets. Stephanie Chen, Director of APAC Sales, emphasized that the collaboration brings MiTAC’s technology and quality “closer to local customers at a pivotal moment for India’s data-center evolution.”
