Microsoft launches asset-level ad reviews

Microsoft Advertising is now rolling out asset-level editorial review. This will allow you to view policy approvals for each ad component, rather than the entire ad, reducing delays caused by a single non-compliant element.

What’s new. Advertisers can now see headlines, descriptions, and images reviewed separately inside the Microsoft Advertising interface. If one asset violates policy, only that component is blocked, while compliant assets continue to serve.

Asset Level Review

How it works. Microsoft Advertising:

  • Flags disapproved assets directly in the dashboard.
  • Displays warning banners when components are blocked.
  • Shows clear asset-level status alongside campaign details.

Why we care. This change reduces campaign disruption and speeds up approvals. You can pinpoint and fix the exact asset causing an issue instead of rebuilding or resubmitting entire ads, helping campaigns go live faster.
