Lisa Gade reviews the Intel NUC 11 Extreme 8 liter small form factor (SFF) PC with Intel 11th gen Tiger Lake 8-core i7 and Core i9 options and a slot for a standard graphics card up to 12” long and 2 slots wide. Yep, you can put an NVIDIA RTX 3080 in this little PC if you like! As ever with the Intel NUC platform, you can get it bare bones and supply your own RAM, SSDs and OS, or get one that’s pre-configured. It has plenty of ports, including 2 x Thunderbolt 4, 2.5Gb Ethernet and a fast SD card slot. Intel Wi-Fi 6E with Bluetooth is standard, as are the LED ground effects and RGB front skull lighting. Aside from being a technological wonder, it’s great for space constrained places such as acting as a media center or game console hooked up to a TV. The 11 Extreme is supposed to ship Sept. 2021.
