Browser cache and cookies are essential elements of a browser. They make the browser run smoothly. Browsers use the cache to save data for any websites a user accesses. Its purpose is to make the user’s subsequent visits to the webpage better with the page loading faster.
Similarly, cookies are helpful too. Cookies are packets of data stored on the user’s computer by a browser. Cookies provide website information about the user, allowing them to tailor the user experience.
Browser cache and cookies have both pros and cons. You must fully understand how they work and why you should manage them appropriately for a safe browsing experience. A full browser cache can slow down the speed of your browser, while cookies can be misused to track you. You can delete both of these periodically to avoid these issues.
This post will show you how to delete the cache and cookies on the Brave mobile browser. Since I already created a post on deleting browser data on the Brave browser on a computer, I thought creating one on the Brave mobile browser was necessary.
Cookies and Cache
First, let us understand what browser cookies are. Cookies are compact bits of information created by an internet server when a person is accessing a website. The browser saves these bits of information on the user’s device.
The browser cache is a repository in which browsers store website static files. The browser cache stores data such as pictures and HTML required to view webpages.
Both cache and cookies seem harmless, so why should you delete them? Here’s your answer. Cookies can be used to keep track of you; they can be used to track your browsing activities. On the other hand, browser cache sometimes interferes with the running of a page by displaying older versions of it. This is why it is essential to delete both cache and cookies regularly.
