Coloft is an awesome co-working space in Santa Monica. In addition to providing the physical space where entrepreneurs can work together, they also foster community and creativity. One of the value-adds they provide is Coloft Academy – an ongoing series of extremely affordable classes on everything from productivity, business strategy, design and marketing. I am going to be teaching a Beginner’s WordPress class as part of the Academy series. The class will be an intro to using the tools built-in to WordPress and will provide a basic understanding of the core concepts, so you can get started with your website:
This beginners’ class will show you how to use all the available tools in the WordPress backend :
- how to create posts and pages and what the difference is
- how to use categories and tags
- how to install themes
- how to use plugins
- how to use widgets
- how to work with media such as images and video
Class size is limited to 24 students to help each student get the most out of the class
