DE-CIX, one of the world’s largest Internet Exchange (IX) operators, has announced that its Google Gold Verified Peering Provider (VPP) service is now active across all its major Internet Exchanges in the United States.
The rollout, which now includes New York, Dallas, Chicago, and Phoenix, marks a milestone in the company’s partnership with Google to improve connectivity quality and resilience for businesses relying on Google services and cloud infrastructure.
The Verified Peering Provider program identifies IXs and Internet Service Providers that meet Google’s technical and performance benchmarks for reliable, diverse, and high-capacity network interconnections. By achieving Gold status, DE-CIX joins an exclusive group of global providers recognized for superior interconnection quality with Google’s network.
For North American ISPs and network operators, the certification provides a new pathway to deliver dependable connectivity to Google services without having to independently fulfill Google’s strict peering requirements. Through DE-CIX’s Layer-3 connectivity, smaller and regional providers can access Google Cloud, Google Workspace, and other Google-hosted workloads with the same level of reliability and performance as larger carriers.
SASE Platforms
The initiative extends beyond individual networks. Enterprises connecting via DE-CIX can now benefit from more direct and consistent access to critical business services – including SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) platforms and latency-sensitive applications hosted on Google Cloud. The improved connectivity also helps wholesale network operators offer end customers uninterrupted access to Google resources through DE-CIX’s infrastructure.

The service is also accessible through DE-CIX Dallas, enabling networks connected to DE-CIX Mexico to take advantage of the Verified Peering Provider offering, expanding Google connectivity options throughout North America.
