Kenzo Security Launches from Stealth with $4.5M in Funding to Transform Cybersecurity Operations with AI

Kenzo Security, a new cybersecurity startup aiming to redefine how organizations manage security operations, has officially launched after 18 months in stealth mode. Backed by $4.5 million in seed funding from The General Partnership and cybersecurity veteran Michael Coates—former Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Mozilla and Twitter—the company is introducing a groundbreaking AI-powered platform for Security Operations Centers (SOCs).

Founded by Harish Singh and Partha Naidu, Kenzo Security leverages decades of collective experience in high-stakes cybersecurity environments. Singh, a seasoned entrepreneur and co-creator of the patented Polygraph technology, previously held leadership roles at Lacework and E8 Security. Naidu, a former chief of cyber operations for the U.S. Air Force, later led product development in security operations at Datadog and CrowdStrike. Together, they envisioned a new kind of security platform—one built from the ground up to reduce risk and boost operational efficiency through AI.

Revolutionizing Security Operations with Agentic AI

At the heart of Kenzo’s offering is its Agentic AI Security Operations Platform. This system deploys a swarm of domain-specific AI agents that work collaboratively to handle key functions such as threat analysis, detection tuning, proactive threat hunting, and response prioritization. These agents operate atop a proprietary data mesh, granting them real-time, contextual insight across an organization’s entire digital environment.

Unlike traditional AI integrations that rely on generalized large language models (LLMs) like those from OpenAI or Anthropic—often used for basic alert triage—Kenzo’s platform is purpose-built for the unique challenges of cybersecurity. Its multi-agent architecture is designed to address the deeper, systemic issues that security teams face daily.

“Security teams everywhere are trying to figure out how to use AI, but most tools just wrap LLMs around Tier 1 alert handling,” said Harish Singh, Kenzo CEO and co-founder. “We’ve taken a different approach. Our specialized AI agents work together to continuously research threats, fine-tune detections, hunt proactively, and prioritize responses in real time. It’s not just a chatbot—it’s a fully integrated platform.”

Addressing Real-World Security Challenges

Dan Portillo, managing partner at The General Partnership, highlighted the platform’s technical depth as a key differentiator. “We invested in Kenzo because they’re addressing a real pain point with a sophisticated, data-driven solution. Security teams need this kind of multi-agent approach to reduce risk at scale.”

Kenzo’s platform is designed not just to close alerts, but to significantly lower actual security risk. By automating routine investigations and filtering out low-priority threats, it allows security teams to respond more quickly and intelligently—without the need to increase headcount. This is especially crucial in an industry facing a growing shortage of skilled professionals.

Michael Coates, a founding partner at Seven Hill Ventures and one of Kenzo’s early investors, believes the company’s architecture represents a major advancement in enterprise security. “Kenzo’s Agentic AI Architecture empowers detection and response teams to act faster and more effectively, focusing on real threats and delivering measurable security outcomes. This is exactly what modern security teams need to scale intelligently.”

Looking Ahead: Growth and Expansion

With its recent funding, Kenzo plans to expand both its technical and sales teams while continuing to enhance its platform’s capabilities. Currently operating with a 14-person team, the company expects to grow to 20 employees by the end of the year as it scales to meet increasing demand from enterprise clients.

Kenzo Security is positioning itself at the forefront of a new era in cybersecurity—one where intelligent, risk-aware AI agents help organizations stay ahead of ever-evolving threats. For more information, visit https://www.kenzo.security/.
