CoreWeave Becomes Official AI Cloud Computing Partner of Aston Martin Aramco Formula 1 Team
CoreWeave, a leading provider of AI-focused cloud infrastructure, has entered into a multi-year partnership with Aston Martin Aramco, becoming the Formula 1 team’s Official AI Cloud Computing Partner. This strategic collaboration marks a significant step toward integrating advanced AI computing into the world of elite motorsport, highlighting the increasing reliance on cloud-native technologies in high-performance sectors.
Under the new partnership, Aston Martin Aramco will transition from traditional on-premises computing systems to CoreWeave’s scalable, AI-optimized cloud platform. This move is expected to significantly boost the team’s ability to run complex simulations, accelerate design cycles, and harness AI-driven insights to enhance engineering and performance.
CoreWeave’s cloud infrastructure is specifically designed for high-performance, accelerated computing workloads—making it an ideal fit for the fast-paced and technologically demanding environment of Formula 1.
One of the first major initiatives in the partnership will be the replacement of Aston Martin Aramco’s in-house wind tunnel with CoreWeave’s AI-powered virtual wind tunnel. This innovation is set to streamline aerodynamic testing and performance development. Fans will get their first look at the collaboration on the AMR25 race car, which will feature CoreWeave branding during the Monaco Grand Prix.
Pushing the Boundaries of Performance
Lawrence Stroll, Executive Chairman of Aston Martin Aramco, called the partnership a game-changer. “AI cloud computing infrastructure is a critical competitive advantage in the high-speed world of Formula 1,” he said. “CoreWeave’s platform will play a vital role in pushing our performance to new heights, both on the track and behind the scenes.”
Echoing that sentiment, CoreWeave co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Brian Venturo emphasized the synergy between the two organizations. “Formula 1 represents the pinnacle of innovation and ambition,” he said. “We’re excited to support Aston Martin Aramco with our AI platform, helping drive data-informed performance at every level.”
This partnership underscores a broader trend in motorsports and other cutting-edge industries: the growing adoption of AI and cloud computing to meet the demands of speed, accuracy, and relentless innovation.
